Ghana’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, made a notable appearance at the National Theatre for the second premiere of Ghanaian actor Kyekyeku’s debut film, "1957.”
Arriving in a black Lacoste paired with jeans and accompanied by a group, a TikTok video shared by Yaw Plug captured Dampare’s arrival on April 27, 2024.
The IGP's presence at the young actor’s movie premiere garnered praise on social media, with many applauding his support for the emerging talent.
Netizens expressed admiration, calling him humble and even suggesting he could make a good president for Ghana due to his result-oriented approach.
Other celebrities such as Nana Ama Mcbrown, Aka Ebenezer, Eddie Nartey, Kwappiah, and Vanessa Nicole (Funny Face’s partner) also attended to show their support for Kyekyeku.Directed by 925, "1957" initially premiered on March 6, 2024, in Kumasi and features renowned actors like Aka Ebenezer and Kalsuome Sinare.
