Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, remains optimistic about his team's title chances in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, despite a setback over the weekend.
The Miners were aiming to extend their lead at the top of the table but suffered a 2-0 loss to Vision FC on Matchday 29 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
However, GoldStars still lead the league with 53 points, holding a five-point cushion with just five matches left in the season.
Coach Frimpong Manso remains confident and determined, continuing to believe in his team's ability to secure the title.
“We have four games left, three of them at home. We know it won’t be easy, but we’re motivated to push harder,” he said after the game.
“Even for the away game, we’ll fight for something. We’re still on course to win the league,” he added.
Vision FC secured the win with a late goal from Edmond Asante, who found the net just four minutes before the final whistle, giving Nana Kweku Agyemang’s side a vital victory.
GoldStars will aim to recover in their next game when they face the struggling Karela United at DUN Park on Sunday for Matchday 30.
