Some parts of Accra will experience an eight-hour power outage on Thursday, April 17, 2025, due to planned maintenance works by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
The exercise, scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is part of ECG’s efforts to enhance service delivery. “The maintenance works is to improve service delivery to customers,” the company stated.
Communities expected to be impacted by the power cut include Kwabenya, Taifa, Atomic Energy Commission, Dome Pillar 2, Taifa Burkina, Haatso, Ashongman, La – Arts Gallery, and their surroundings.
ECG has apologised to customers in these areas for any inconvenience. “ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to affected customers,” the statement added.
