Veteran Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Agyeman has observed that music production today is far easier compared to the challenges faced during his time.
Speaking in an interview on Adom TV, the renowned artiste pointed out that modern musicians can now create songs conveniently from their homes, a luxury that was not available to earlier generations.
"I notice that creating music has become much easier these days. Nowadays, you can make music right from your bedroom, and as a result, many people choose to stay in their rooms to work on their songs," he stated.
Recalling his early career experiences, Nana Agyeman explained that music production in the past was a more laborious process. It often required presenting songs to experienced mentors for guidance and collaborating closely with sound engineers before completing a track.
"In the past, music creation wasn’t as straightforward. Before recording a song, you would often have to present it to someone knowledgeable about music, like an elderly mentor, who could help you refine it. Alternatively, you would visit a studio to collaborate with an engineer and share ideas," he said.
He further highlighted the drastic transformation brought about by technological advancements, noting that today's artistes can produce multiple songs within a single day.
"Now, you can simply create music and send it to an engineer for the finishing touches. It’s possible to produce about ten songs in a single day," he added.
