Ghanaian-American comedian and actor Michael Blackson has lauded former President John Dramani Mahama for his recent intervention in support of bondholders, describing it as a positive step.
In a social media post, Blackson expressed appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing its impact on many Ghanaians, including the children at his tuition-free school in Ghana.
"Look at God, this a very great start for all bond holders. As of today I'm officially a member of the NDC party. @JDMahama You just put a smile on the faces of the kids at my free school," he wrote.
His remarks have sparked discussions, with supporters praising Mahama’s efforts to address the concerns of bondholders who have faced economic uncertainty in recent years.
Blackson, known for his philanthropic work, including building a free school for underprivileged children, has often used his platform to advocate for social and economic policies that benefit the less privileged.
While details of Mahama’s intervention remain a subject of political debate, Blackson’s endorsement signals growing attention to policies affecting financial stability in Ghana.
As the country moves closer to elections, Mahama’s actions and the reactions they generate, particularly from influential figures like Blackson, are expected to shape conversations around economic recovery and social welfare.
