The resolution of the ongoing Bawku conflict has been delayed according to reports .
Originally, peace talks led by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II were expected to make significant progress on Monday, April 28.
However, the mediation process has been postponed due to the complex chieftaincy dispute that is at the heart of the conflict.
At this time, the Manhyia Palace has not provided an official announcement regarding a rescheduled date for the mediation talks.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s involvement in the peace process has been met with widespread approval, with many hopeful that his leadership will play a critical role in restoring peace and stability to the troubled Bawku region.
The sessions were initially planned to run from April 28 to May 1 at the Manhyia Palace, as part of a broader national initiative to ease tensions in the area.
