Police in the Ashanti North Region have launched an intensive search for armed robbers who attacked a bus in the Offinso South Municipality on Wednesday, April 13, leading to the death of a 23-year-old bus conductor.
In response to the tragic incident, the Regional Command has introduced new security strategies aimed at safeguarding travelers on highways throughout the area.
These initiatives include deploying more highway patrol teams, setting up mobile checkpoints, and establishing rapid response units to handle emergencies promptly.
A statement issued on Friday, April 25, noted that the police “is working closely with local communities and transport unions to strengthen intelligence gathering and encourage the prompt reporting of suspicious activity.”
The Command urged the public to remain patient and lend their support as investigations unfold and additional security measures are put into action.
