President John Dramani Mahama has named Henry Herbert Malm as the Acting Director of the National Theatre of Ghana.
The appointment was confirmed by renowned playwright George Quaye. Malm takes over from Amy Appiah Frimpong, who retired in December 2023.
Henry Herbert Malm brings years of experience in communications, media, and sustainability to the role.
Before this, he was the Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Unilever Ghana PLC, where he led various stakeholder engagement and sustainability projects.
He also has a media background, having worked as a news anchor at TV3.
The National Theatre plays a major role in promoting and preserving Ghana’s performing arts and is managed under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
Malm is expected to bring new ideas and drive positive change at the theatre, helping to strengthen its role in showcasing and celebrating Ghanaian culture.
