Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah has officially handed over leadership to Mr. Richard Akpokavie after serving as President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) for eight years, in a ceremony held Tuesday morning at the Olympic House in Ridge, Accra.
The transition marked a new chapter for the GOC, with Mr. Nunoo Mensah presenting key items such as documents, sporting kits, and assets used in previous Olympic and Commonwealth Games.
The handover was brief yet meaningful, signifying the formal end of one administration and the beginning of another.
During the event, Mr. Nunoo Mensah encouraged the new leadership to sustain and expand on the progress made during his tenure.
He specifically highlighted the importance of continuing the OlympiAfrica project based in Amasaman.
