Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has extended support to a young man whose emotional plea to join one of Ghana’s security services has gone viral on social media.
“This video touched my heart. I would love to see his dreams come true,” Stonebwoy wrote on X. “I’m willing to assist him to possibly connect some dots because I don’t think it’s this simple to ask your way into the service via social media. He might have to meet certain criteria to make it through.”
The young man, featured in the widely shared video, passionately appeals for a chance to serve in the military, police, immigration, or fire service. In the footage, he describes himself as “very strong” and pleads for help, expressing frustration over the lack of feedback from the relevant agencies despite his repeated efforts.
Stonebwoy’s response has been met with praise online, with many commending him for showing empathy and using his platform to offer real support.
The artiste also acknowledged the complexities of the recruitment process and noted that meeting official requirements would still be necessary for the young man to succeed.
