A loyal fan of Ghanaian actor Lil Win has launched a personal crusade to defend the Kumawood star against local television stations airing his movies without authorization.
Famous TikToker, Kobby Phacce, has vowed to expose and report every Ghanaian television station broadcasting Lil Win’s films without proper consent. His campaign follows the actor’s public outburst on social media, where he expressed disappointment in media houses airing his work without approval or payment of royalties.
In a recent TikTok video, Kobby spotlighted Wontumi TV, a station owned by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Wontumi, for allegedly airing one of Lil Win’s films without permission. The movie in question featured popular Kumawood names including Nana Ama McBrown, Akrobeto, and Lil Win himself.
“As far as you’ve decided not to make me and my Godfather rest, una no go rest too… mark my words,” Kobby wrote in the video caption, signaling his determination to hold offending stations accountable.
He further urged Lil Win to take legal action against Wontumi TV for the unapproved broadcast, emphasizing the importance of protecting creative rights in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
The bold move by Kobby Phacce has sparked conversations about copyright infringement and respect for intellectual property in local media.
"Godfather this time is wontumi tv ..please sue them 😂 @Official lil win wezzy @Kwadzo nkansah lilwin Official #veronica #trendin #fyp #goviral #ghanamovies #movie #movie #trendin."Video of TikToker reporting Wontumi TV below:
