Ghanaian international winger Inaki Williams has won the SPORTY LaLiga Most Valuable Player award again, marking the second time in a row.
Iñaki bagged the award after beating his contenders, Villarreal's Pape Gueye and Osasuna's Enzo Boyomo, in a two-fold voting process.
The first part involved an expert jury of 25 top sports journalists from across Africa, while the second part was based on fan votes collected through the MiLiga Fan Zone.
The winner, Iñaki Williams, secured 32% of the total votes, outperforming Pape Gueye (12%) and Enzo Boyomo (10%).
Inaki won this due to his stellar performances this season for his club, where he played more minutes than any other player on his team and contributed 14 goals and assists throughout the season.
His performance for the Athletic Club helped them qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in ten years.
In the just-ended season, Iñaki contributed 6 goals and 8 assists in 35 league appearances for Athletic Bilbao this term.
The 30-year-old has spent his entire professional career with Bilbao and switched his nationality to feature for Ghana in 2022.
The forward has found the back of the net twice in 22 appearances.
However, the Ghana international missed out in Ghana's 23-man squad for the 2025 Unity Cup in London, England, as head coach Otto Addo intends to use the four-nation tournament to assess new players.
Other absentees also include, Thomas Partey, West Ham's Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Meanwhile, few new faces have joined the squad, among them Barcelona youngster Abdul Aziz Issah.
Some returnees also include Abdul Salis Samed, who has recovered from injury; Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku, who receives his first call-up since 2021; and Felix Afena-Gyan, returning for the first time since 2022.
However, Captain Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Mohammed Salisu, and Benjamin Asare have all retained their spots from the previous call-up.
