Popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy surprised fans at his music show in Ejisu by buying "bofrot" (deep-fried dough) for the crowd.
The event, which happened on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Okese Park in the Ashanti Region, was part of the DYOP & Ladonna Lounge Easter Gala and Artiste Night.
Stonebwoy was the main performer and gave an energetic show that lasted into the early hours of Monday.
While performing, he spotted a woman selling bofrot in the crowd. Her goods were neatly arranged in a glass container.
Seeing how tired and hungry some fans looked after standing for so long, Stonebwoy paused his show and encouraged them to buy some bofrot to refresh themselves.
He then asked how much the remaining bofrot cost and was told it was just GH₵30. Touched by the vendor’s hustle, Stonebwoy told her to give the bofrot out to the crowd and come to him later for the money.
His kind act was well-received by the fans, many of whom rushed to get a piece before it ran out. Before continuing his performance, Stonebwoy asked the crowd to be careful and not break the vendor’s glass container.
Later on, after all the bofrot had been shared, he invited the vendor and her friend on stage, and they danced to his song “Ever Lasting” together.
Let me know if you’d like this in a more playful, serious, or newsy tone!
