Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy shocked fans in Ejisu when he threw money into a crowd during his visit for the #DYOP Easter Gala and Artist Night.
The event was one of the activities lined up for the town's Easter celebration, and a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of him. As his car moved through the streets, thrilled fans rushed around it.
In the middle of the excitement, Stonebwoy threw out several GH¢10 notes, causing a brief rush as people scrambled to pick the money.
The move surprised many because Stonebwoy has often said in interviews that he doesn’t support the idea of spraying money in public. He once responded to claims that he is stingy by saying he prefers to give to fans in ways that are respectful and safe.
According to him, spraying money often causes fights, injuries, and unfairness—since only a few people end up getting something while others leave with nothing. He’s also said it can be risky, especially when done around moving cars and large crowds.
Despite his usual stance, fans were excited about the unexpected gesture during the Easter celebration.
