Talks are currently underway involving Ghana international, Thomas Partey, whose contract is set to expire by the end of June this year, Arsenal confirmed in a statement yesterday, June 4.
"The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, and Michal Rosiak" parts of the statement revealed.
Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course.
The statement listed players who are expected to part ways with the club as part of a broader squad reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, Raheem Sterling, and Neto will leave the club at the end of June 2025.
"Ahead of the official Premier League announcement of all men’s players who will be out of contract on June 30, we are taking this opportunity to say thank you to those leaving us when their contracts are completed at the end of the month."
The statement continued:
"We thank all the players leaving us for their contributions to the club. You will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish you all the best of health and happiness in your futures."
Talks about Partey's future have been described as complex and slow-moving, with sources hinting at Barcelona's swoop for the Arsenal talisman.
In 55 appearances, across all competitions during the just-ended campaign, he notched four goals and provided three assists in the process.
Thomas Partey, who joined Arsenal on October 5, 2020, in a £45 million transfer from Atlético Madrid, has been with the club for nearly five years.
His stint has been plagued by injury; however, he makes a stunning display after his injury returns.
